12", 15w, 100 dB, 8 or 16 ohms

Originally developed in the 1950s from a successful Celestion radio speaker, the CT3757, the Alnico Blue is the world’s first dedicated guitar loudspeaker. Its use in early Marshall and Vox amplifiers helped to define the sound of ‘60s British popular music and it remains today one of the most desirable guitar loudspeakers in the business. ‘Alnico’ refers to the composition of its magnet material, an alloy of Aluminium, Nickel and Cobalt, and when combined with an overloaded tube amplifier, the Blue distorts easily, with its unique response smoothing the sound into gloriously creamy overtones rich in quality and sustain. The Blue also benefits from an exceptional dynamic range, making it a highly expressive speaker. Load a Celestion Blue into a single 12" or 2 x 12" vintage combo and the sweet and bright tones lend it ideally to a range of playing styles including jazz, blues, country and indie.

12", 80w, 99 dB, 8 or 16 ohms

Originally released in 1978, the G12-80 (affectionately known as the ’Classic Lead‘ ) is now a vital component in the 4x12 market. The Classic Lead has that special something that lead guitarists dream of - speed, definition and punch along with amazing articulation, particularly on big, distorted sounds. Even with the amp screaming, every note is still sweet, clear and very loud. Players find that the Classic Lead‘s combination of speed and articulate clarity, with punch, sparkle and a very fluid feel, work well for many styles, from twangy, clean country, where its headroom and clarity are fantastic, through jazz and fusion where the definition of notes is vital to prevent muddiness, to heavy metal where the huge bass presence, dynamic mids and treble bite give great heavy tone without losing the melody. We can honestly say that this is one of Celestion‘s most versatile speakers - and a true classic. A true ’axe hero‘ settles for nothing less!

The G12 Century Vintage is a new loudspeaker combining the advanced properties of a Neodymium magnet structure with traditional voicing to create an efficient, modern loudspeaker with an instantly recognisable vintage tone. The sound may be classic, but the revolutionary Neodymium magnet delivers the added benefits of fast attack, extra responsiveness and exceptional articulation, making the Century Vintage a perfect blend of old and new. Lifting a Century Vintage-loaded 4x12" cab is refreshingly easy, yet when it comes to performance, this speaker is anything but lightweight. De-tuned and 7-string players in particular will love the low end power and definition, even on the most over-driven sounds.

12", 80w, 102 dB, 8 or 16 ohms

Less than half the weight of a conventional ceramic unit, the new Celestion G12 Century is the first ever guitar speaker to incorporate an ultra-light Neodymium magnet structure. Neodymium (actually an alloy of Neodymium, Iron and Boron) has far more powerful magnetic properties than traditional ceramic materials, enabling the magnet structure to be much smaller and hence lighter. The G12 Century is exceptionally efficient, combining high output with a firm bass and highly detailed mids and treble. Indeed many guitarists have described the sound of the G12 Century as like playing with a new set of strings which stay new, permanently! The G12 Century is also very responsive, capable of communicating every subtle nuance of a performance. The visually striking, die-cast aluminium heatsink keeps thermal compression at a minimum and definition and clarity at a maximum. The G12 Century’s excellent sensitivity over a broad frequency range makes it suitable for all playing styles.

12", 30w, 100 dB, 8 or 16 ohms

The G12H is another member of the G12 family that really shines. It’s the classic rock voice of the ‘70s. Listen through your music collection and the sound of the G12H appears so many times through the magical riffs of the great guitar gods. Through the decades the guitarist icons may change, but the one consistency remains in their choice of speaker - the G12H. The G12H provides the ideal solution to those looking for a compromise between the Vintage 30 and the G12M ‘Greenback’ - for players who need a syrupy, thick and warm tone that still retains a tight bottom end. These speakers have great clarity (without being harsh) when played clean yet they will also pump out the classic Celestion grind when pushed into distortion. Pick attack is vividly articulated and with sustained notes the sound trails off into warm harmonic tones and a blooming feedback.

25 w, 97 dB, 8 or 16 ohms

Many great guitar solos have been voiced by the G12M Greenback. With the development of Rock and Roll, audience sizes grew and consequently more and more amplification became necessary. Celestion rose to the challenge of designing a loudspeaker which could cope with an increase in power and the G12 series was born. The G12M was the first speaker produced by Celestion to feature a ceramic magnet assembly. Through this, every subtlety of the player’s dynamic style becomes wonderfully articulated. Today, as ever, the Greenback exudes a warmth and woodiness and yet retains the brightness and punch needed to cut through the rest of the band. Ideally suited to a blues-rock style, the Greenback is a must-have speaker for anyone seeking classic tone. When you are looking for a quality unit that will last a lifetime of playing, nothing else compares.

12", 75w, 97 dB, 8 or 16 ohms

Every Celestion guitar speaker benefits from four generations of skill and experience. But inevitably some become more famous than others, cherished for their unique tonal characteristics, sensitivity and responsiveness. The G12, born in in the ‘60s, became available in a variety of different magnet sizes, developing into a range of high quality loudspeakers. But it was the G12T-75 that rose to the fore and is now widely acclaimed as a great rock/metal/thrash guitar speaker. One of the best selling speakers of all time, it has a wide frequency range and excellent sensitivity. Emphasis is on huge bass, relaxed mids and vibrant highs which make for a brutal sound - solid and fat with plenty of sparkle. Its heavy duty aspect means that it handles extreme high gain and distortion like a gladiator. And this speaker will also retain a clean sound at much higher power levels than others can take. If you’re a multi-talented frontman of the band, this speaker is great for amplifying other instruments as well. Just try mic’ing a harmonica through it: the results are truly amazing!

The best loudspeaker EVER ! 60w, 100 dB

At the Celestion factory, not one of our speaker production lines is totally automated. There are certain parts of the construction process which we will only entrust to our skilled engineers, ensuring that every Celestion speaker retains the unique tonal characteristics that have made us famous. The Vintage 30 is a particularly special speaker and it needs even more human attention than usual. A modern speaker that can trace its roots to the original G12, the Vintage 30 combines high power handling with an instantly recognisable vintage tone. Seemingly twice as loud as anything else at the same power level (it has been said that a Vintage 30 makes a 50W head sound like a 100W), it handles massive overdrive sounds with ease. The Vintage 30’s 100dB sensitivity makes it ideal for use in high-gain tube amps and with tight bass, fat mids and a smooth, harmonically rich top, a fantastic ‘70s rock sound comes with all the added bass and overdrive you could ever want. Those with heart problems may want to consider a more subtle speaker from our range!
